06/07/22 Off To CGC...

Another economy batch off to CGC. Fast tracked these so they should come back pretty quickly. Hopefully my predictions will be a bit more accurate this time.

Nothing too surprising in this batch. The Star Trek is missing a big chunk of the front upper right cover but is otherwise very nice. I mean, as nice as a comic missing a big chunk out of the cover can be. I've been buying a lot of Frankenstein #8s and #9s. #8 is a the first time Frankie meets Dr Acula and #9 is just a cool battle cover.

That Marvel Team Up is the first WWBN and Spider-Man meet up with a cool battle cover and the first appearance of Moondark who is a pretty minor villain that looks like Dave Wyndorf from Monster Magnet.

The Astro Boy was a CBCS 5.5 I purchased. The grader's notes stated it had 1 small tear and some finger bends and light stains. It ended up having 3 very small tears, a shit load of finger bends and was really dirty. I'm hoping to get a 6.0 out of it but I don't really know. All I do know is that CBCS's grading and grader's notes suck ass. I recently cracked a bunch of CBCS moderns I purchased and I'll never buy another CBCS graded comic unless its priced at less than 1/2 of what a CGC book in the same grade is going for or I have it in my hands to thoroughly examine it in person prior to purchasing. I like that Captain America #164 quite a bit. Not super easy to find in high grade and that'll be the first Pence variant on the census. 1st appearance of Falcon as a Werewolf and 1st app of Tilda Johnson/Nightshade. The rest I've seen talked about elsewhere or have mentioned myself already too many times to mention again. Which is more or less why I haven't been doing as many pick up posts recently. I just buy the same stuff over and over again so what's the point of posting pictures of it? Until next time...
