03/07/22 Veinticinco cómics que presioné, labios de pavo.

So these arrived today. Pressed by me. Sure. You're probably looking at these thinkin' "why didn't he prescreen those for 9.8s?" And I'll tell you why he didn't. Because he ain't no chump, that's why. You know how the saying goes: Go big or go fuck yourself. Anyway. I'm a bit disappointed by the America Chavez and Exiles #2 9.6s. Both those books kinda suck balls in general even when in 9.8. But I figure it's soon or never for those Exiles/Valkyrie books since the next Thor movie is coming out soon and Tessa Thompson is H-O-T! And if you're thinking something silly like "that's not even the Valkyrie in Marvel comics based on Tessa Thompson" then you need to close your eyes and imagine Ian MacKaye screaming "I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT" into your fk'n ear holes because that's exactly what I'd do if you said that to me in person.

All joking aside, I probably wouldn't have subbed a solid 1/3 of these if I had to pay someone else to press them. But since it doesn't cost me anything, why not? That being said, those Hawkeye #13 Walsh variants sure didn't catch any heat like I'd hoped they would. Relatively low print run, 1:25 variant, both Hawkeyes and Pizza Dog on the cover, what more could a fan want? Something other than this comic apparently.

I do still really like that Invincible Iron Man #2 Piper variant though. I think it's a great depiction of who Riri is and what she does. Just a teenage kid working away on her armor in her room. Much better than the creepy portrayals of her looking like a woman in her mid to late 20s ready to go out clubbing. If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a copy of the Jeff Dekal Invincible Iron Man #1 variant, show it to your wife (if you're a woman reading this, you're probably already on board with what I'm saying) and ask her what she thinks of adult men fawning over covers of girls that are supposed to be fifteen years old drawn this way. I'm sure she'll be very impressed....

I still haven't attempted to sub a Solo cover A #1 9.8 yet. I mean, why should I? I have a bunch I bought at cover and the 9.6s are profitable enough as it is. I always sell off the lower grade stuff and then just sit on the remaining 9.8 candidates or graded copies until the time is right to sell. I have 12 raws of various covers left I'm too lazy to pull out and take a picture of but I'll post some pics below of the graded 9.8s I currently have from that series. So what's the rush for more right?

I also have a bunch of those Doctor Doom #1 2nd prints. I figured they'd be good to own once he shows up in the MCU which is bound to happen eventually. He sure has a big ass nose on that cover though.
